Glazed/Antiqued Finishing

Looking for an antique finish with a modern twist?

Glazed finish is utilizing luminous water-based colors to create beautiful enhanced finishes such as marbling, burnishing and color washing. Glaze Effects can be blended or layered to create custom colors. They may also be layered over one another to create a deeper and richer looks.

Dependant on customer preference the wood first goes through coats of primer and paint, once this is completed, the glaze finish is applied and each door is manually sanded down with a scotch pad to provide a stunning glaze finish. Once the final coat of lacquer is applied, the glaze finish provides a deep and rich look, which leaves an antique finish with a modern twist.

The art of traditional hand process has no substitute; neither can it be replicated by any machine to provide a natural finish. Every door, cabinet, moulding is done manually by hand by our skilled craftsmen which ultimately provides the unique look you see in your end product.

Glazes are available and can be added on to any type of finish: solid colour paints, stains, and clear coats.
